General finite action solution of the gross-neveu model

The most general classical solution with finite action of the N -- 1 Gross-Neveu model is found. The use of conformal invariance and the toroidal (S/sup 1/ x S/sup 1/)-formalism based upon it are crucial for obtaining these general spinor field configurations.
