This bibliography contains citations concerning environmental impacts from oil spills primarily resulting from ship wrecks and oil drilling and exploration. Oil spills in temperate, tropic, and arctic zones that affect fresh, estuary, and marine waters are included. Cleanup operations and priorities, computer modeling and simulation analysis, oil-spill investigations, and predicted movement of oil slicks in high-traffic shipping lanes are among the topics discussed. Microbial degradation of oils, and testing of oil and oil dispersant toxicity to aquatic plant and animal life are considered. (This updated bibliography contains 58 citations, all of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
