Automatic choke and starting aid for small two-cycle internal combustion engines

This patent describes a starting aid for a small internal combustion engine having a carburetor, a carburetor bore operatively associated with the carburetor and defining a longitudinal axis, the bore having one end in communication with a source of combustion air and another end of the bore in communication with a piston cylinder of the internal combustion engine. It comprises: shaft means for selectively restricting flow of intake air into the engine, means for retaining the shaft means ins aid secondary bore, where the shaft means is prohibited from obstructing air intake into the carburetor bore, and the shaft means rotatable to a second position, where the shaft means obstructs air into the carburetor bore.
