Under a subcontract to Remotec, Inc., the University of Florida (UF) has developed radiation resistant control components as a part of a redesign of the electronic system of the ANDROS robot. Remotec assisted in ensuring that the redesigned components functionally qualified for robotic operation. The technology developed under this program should be equally applicable to any robotic control system needing to operate in a radiation environment. Details of the redesign and the philosophy of the redesign are given. 5 refs., 4 figs., 2 tabs.
