Determination of molybdenum in human blood

Journal Article · · Anal. Lett.; (United States)
A new sensitive, selective spectrophotometric method for the determination of molybdenum in tracer quantities has been applied to establish the molybdenum concentrations in whole blood from healthy adult human males and from cancer patients in the district of Rewa and Jabalpur, M.P., India. The mean molybdenum concentration in normal blood was found to be 0.60 ppM (range 0.3 to 1.1 ppM). In the cancer patient blood the average molybdenum concentration was 0.98 ppM (range 0.8 to 1.6 ppM). 1 table.
