Weak interaction theories with Majorana masses for neutrinos have lepton number violating reactions. We consider gravitational collapse of massive stars in such a model and find that if the lepton nonconserving reactions occur, the dynamics of collapse will be drastically different from the low-entropy collapse that follows from the usual assumption of lepton number conservation.
