Differential cross sections for the nucleon induced reactions from p-shell nuclei {sup 6}Li, {sup 7}Li, {sup 12}C, {sup 13}C and {sup 14}C have been measured. The {sup 6}Li (n,p) reactions was measured at 26 MeV. The {sup 6}Li, {sup 7}Li(p,p{prime}) reactions were measured at 200 MeV. The {sup 12}C, {sup 13}C, {sup 14}C(p,n) reactions were measured at 160 MeV. All the present data were analyzed in terms of distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA). The spin-isospin dependent effective interaction, J{sub {sigma}{tau}}, was obtained from the 0{degree} differential cross section of {sup 6}Li(n,p){sup 6}He(g.s.) transition. This value was compared with the spin-isospin dependent component of G-matrix effective interaction. From the present data on {sup 12}C, {sup 13}C, {sup 14}C(p,n) reactions, we obtained the values J{sub {sigma}{tau}} and the spin independent isospin dependent effective interaction, J{sub {tau}}. These values were compared with the t-matrix effective interaction at 175 MeV. We also obtained the reduced transition matrix elements B(GT) and B(F), which were compared with the values from shell model calculation. The data from {sup 6}Li, {sup 7}Li(p,p{prime}) reactions were compared with the {sup 6}Li, {sup 7}Li(p,n) reactions. The values J{sub {sigma}{tau}} and J{sub {tau}} were obtained from these data and were compared with the t-matrix effective interaction at 210 MeV. The contributions from different components of the effective interaction were discussed. An energy dependence of the values J{sub {sigma}{tau}} was presented.
