This article discusses graphic supercomputers. This is a new class of machine that integrates a portion of the computational power of a supercomputer and the interactive three-dimensional visual capability of a state-of-the-art workstation. Graphics supercomputers are parallel, multiprocessor systems. This article explains the two full-fledge graphics supercomputers now on the market from Ardent Computer Corp. and Stellar Computer Inc.
