Advanced and integrated formation evaluation techniques are vital in describing lithologically and structurally complex reservoirs. A databank is created by integrating geological, geophysical, and well (log, core, and production) data. Well-log normalization is a key element utilized for accurate reservoir description, which is achieved via crossplots, histograms, and maps illustrating the distribution of normalization connection for the field under study. Important reservoir parameters are computed using advanced interpretation techniques and results are compared to core-derived values. Accurate core or production data enable the log responses to be calibrated for computing porosity, permeability, and clay typing. In addition, a reservoir parameter summary program computes average and cumulative values, which are used to generate reservoir isopach maps.
