What you always wanted to know about the cost of ash

Conference · · Trans. Am. Assoc. Cost Eng.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5109381
The cost of ash handling from the time it is mined, transported, processed, fired, until disposal is discussed in terms of handling equipment costs for both bottom ash and flyash, the energy wasted by not recovering the heat in hot ashes, and the commercial value of using ashes in building materials, landfills and road construction. It is concluded that every effort must be made by cost engineers to minimize both the money spent and power consumed in ash handling. (LCL)
