Dissolution and storage experiment with 4. 75-wt%-/sup 235/U-enriched UO/sub 2/ rods

The Nuclear Safety Department of the French Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique has achieved an important experimental program relating to the criticality of 4.75-wt%-/sup 235/U-enriched UO/sub 2/ rods in water with various configurations. Two series of recent results are presented: The first series, completing the parametric study, deals with square-pitch lattices immersed in a sodium nitrate solution (H/sub 2/O+NaNO/sub 3/), and the second series deals with four assemblies of 18*18 rods, between which various hydrogen compounds have been interposed. 11 refs.
