Delta isobar Landau-Migdal parameters and the high momentum properties of the spin-isospin response functions
We study the consequence of having different values for the delta isobar Landau-Migdal parameters, g-italic/sub N//sub ..delta..//sup '/ and g-italic/sub ..delta..//sub ..delta..//sup '/, from that of the nucleon parameter g-italic/sub NN//sup '/ on the high momentum properties of the spin-isospin responses and the pion condensation threshold of nuclei. Recent data on the spin responses prefer larger values for g-italic's. The facts that the pion condensate is not realized in nuclei and that the precritical phenomena are not observed by a significant amount provide the lower bound for g-italic/sub N//sub ..delta..//sup '/. We discuss also the sensitivities of the response functions on the choice of various quantities such as the effective mass and the coupling form factors.
