Ion implantation increases photosensitivity and reduces exposure energy required to store photographic images in a transparent lead-lanthanum-zirconate-titanate (PLZT) ceramic device. The image storage device can be used for nonvolatile, but erasable films. H, He, or A ion implantation increases photosensitivity.
