Aramid fibers, mineral fillers for plastics, phenolic resins, polyester, woven glass cloth, teflon-coated fibers, liquid silicone rubber, acrylic fibers, latex rubber, and flame-retardant paper are considered. These materials are evaluated in gaskets, seals, cement, as brake and clutch linings, packing materials, and other places where asbestos is used. (This updated bibliography contains 193 citations, 24 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
