A polarized [sup 3]He internal gas target has been developed. The target routinely operates at a polarization of 50% and a flow rate of 1[times]10[sup 17] [sup 3]He atoms/sec. It has operated with efficiency close to 100% over a period of 1 year in the recently completed CE-25 experiment at the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility. Further, a cryogenically cooled thin-walled storage cell to enhance the target density is under development. A target is under construction for the HERMES experiment at DESY.
