Title: Growth of inclusive cross sections in the central region, double Regge expansion, and supercritical Pomeron

It is shown that the energy dependence of the differential cross sections ({ital d}{sigma}/{ital dy}){sub {ital y}=0} for the reactions {ital pp}{r arrow}{ital c}{sup {minus}}+{ital X} and {ital pp}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup 0}{sub {ital S}}+{ital X} over a wide energy range (3.6{lt}({ital s}){sup 1/2}{lt}900 GeV) is well described by the double-Regge expansion if a supercritical Pomeron with {alpha}{sub {ital p}}(0)=1+{Delta} is introduced. A fit to the data gives {Delta}({ital c}{sup {minus}})=0.170{plus minus}0.008 and {Delta}({ital K}{sup 0}{sub {ital S}}) =0.167{plus minus}0.024, in reasonable agreement with the estimate of {Delta} from the energy dependence of total cross sections.
