Planning status report: water resources appraisals for hydroelectric licensing, Upper Arkansas River basin, Colorado, Kansas, and New Mexico

The physical, demographic and economic characteristics of the Upper Arkansas River basin located in southeastern Colorado, western Kansas and the extreme north part of New Mexico are described. Data are presented on existing and potential water resource developments, the status of hydro power plant licensing, resources planning and the water requirements for thermal power plants to be installed by the year 2000.
