X rays and energetic particles from solar flares: observational data from Venera 13 and 14

Journal Article · · Cosmic Res. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5087036
From data obtained by Venera 13 and 14 between November 1981 and April 1982, the authors examine the interrelation between bursts of hard solar x-ray quanta and flare solar cosmic rays (SCR). The authors draw upon solar flare data in H-alpha and in the thermal x-ray range, and also on type III radio emission. It is established that the amplitude of the intensity of flare electrons and protons correlates best of all with the flare importance in the thermal x-ray range. Observational data from Venera 13 and 14.
