Topotactic electrochemical redox reactions of the defect perovskite SrCoO{sub 2.5+x}
- Institut fuer Anorganische und Analytische Chemie, Berlin (Germany)
Oxidation of SrCoO{sub 2.5} by electrochemical or chemical means to SrCoO{sub 3} in alkaline electrolyte is found to occur through a series of reaction intermediates in a reversible manner. The intermediate phases of this transformation are related to the phase diagram and models are invoked to explain the room temperature transport of oxygen in these processes.
