In contrast to the conventional belief that the gauge-boson-propagator renormalizations to every {ital m}-loop order contribute to sin{sup 2}{ital FTHETA}{sub {ital W}} at all scales ({mu}) below the grand unification mass ({ital M}{sub {ital U}}), for the first time we prove that all higher-order multiloop ({ital m}{ge}2) corrections are absent for {mu}={ital M}{sub {ital I}}{minus}{ital M}{sub {ital U}} in a class of grand unified theories where the Pati-Salam intermediate gauge symmetry breaks at the highest intermediate scale ({ital M}{sub {ital I}}). This theorem holds also with supersymmetry and in string-inspired models.
