Equipment for remote visual inspection at nuclear facilities is described. Limitations in rigid borescopes and flexible fiberscopes are briefly discussed. The use of charge-coupled devices in small diameter video inspection systems is described. A case study of the use of remote visual equipment to inspect motor-operated valves at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear plant is very briefly presented.
