Soil samples from Stone and Taney Counties, SW Missouri, were investigated to determine the influence of different soil constitutents on the adsorption behavior of the soils. The soils are mainly residuum from Ordovician and Mississippian rocks. The soil properties studied include soil pH, free iron oxide, total organic carbon (TOC), clay mineralogy, and cation exchange capacity (CEC).
