A Curie point pyrolysis-dual FSOT (fused silica open tubular) capillary column gas chromatographic system
The identification of an unknown material often utilizes a set of reference data acquired under standardized conditions. A library of pyrolysis chromatograms (pyrograms) has been generated using a Curie point pyrolyzer, dual fused silica open tubular (FSOT) capillary columns, and dual flame ionization detectors. All of the pyrograms were collected under standardized pyrolysis and chromatographic conditions. The library can be searched both visually and by a Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) LSI-11/73 computer for identification of unknown materials. 5 refs.
