The TFTR D-T phase of operations has proven to be a most exciting era. The facility operates safely and routinely utilizing reactor-relevant D-T fuel. Technological performance and experimental results have met or exceeded all of the original TFTR design criteria and programmatic objectives. New operating modes may point the way to a more economical fusion reactor.
