A microscopic theory describing the upper critical field in quasi-zero-dimensional superconductors is presented. The model is applicable to materials in which the superconducting electrons form clusters which are spatially separated from each other. It is argued that in quasi-zero-dimensional superconductors the orbital upper critical field is apt to be very high, and it is predicted that in highly zero-dimensional superconductors the H/sub c/2(T) curve will exhibit structure not yet seen experimentally.
