Design and evaluation of thermosiphon solar hot water heating systems

A detailed model for a thermosiphon water heater to be included in version 12 of the TRNSYS simulation program is presented. Results of the model compare well with experimental data. TRNSYS is subsequently used to investigate the design and performance of thermosiphon systems for a variety of conditions.
