The materials covered by this specification are: Type 1 - reactor grade unalloyed niobium, Type 1 - commercial grade unalloyed niobium, and Type 3 - reactor grade niobium alloy containing 1% zirconium. When an alloy not listed in this specification is desired, the purchaser may specify changes in chemical composition and other requirements needed to obtain the desired material.
