Air-toxics problem in the United States: an analysis of cancer risks for selected pollutants. Final report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5033964
The report presents estimates of the national cancer incidence associated with about 25 common potential carcinogens found in ambient air. Exposures are estimated using both air quality data and emission-dispersion model techniques. The report on the air toxics problem in the United States is a final version of a September 1984 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency draft document entitled The Magnitude and Nature of the Air Toxics Problem in the United States. Simultaneously with release of the draft report, EPA solicited comments on the analysis from a peer review panel made up of non-EPA experts in fields such as toxicology, air monitoring, and air pollution control.
