This book is the third in a set of three volumes constituting the proceedings of an international symposium on surfactants in solution, held in Lund, Sweden in 1982. This particular volume contains sections on micellar systems, especially reversed micelles, microemulsions and reactions in microemulsions, the hydrophile-lipophile balance, polymerization of surfactant systems, and light scattering by liquid surfaces. Additional topics include the stability of liposomes, determination of liquid-liquid interfacial tensions and simulation studies of the breakdown of the PoissonBoltzmann approximation in polyelectrolyte systems.
