The modified Kuti-Weisskopf model is used to obtain the distributions with respect to the longitudinal and transverse momenta of the diquarks and triquarks in the proton. On the basis of this model, using the mechanisms of fusion of a diquark with a quark and of recombination of three quarks into a final baryon, a description is given of the behavior of the total cross sections for inclusive production and of the distribution with respect to the longitudinal and transverse momenta of the secondary ..lambda../sup 0/ and Lambda-bar/sup 0/ hyperons formed in proton-proton collisions. It is shown that the main contribution to the yield of secondary ..lambda../sup 0/ and Lambda-bar/sup 0/ particles comes from fusion of a spin-1 diquark with a quark. An estimate is obtained for the mass of the diquark participating in the fusion process.
