The existence of the strange attractor discovered by Godfrey in the neighborhood of ..cap alpha.. = 3..pi.. for the Pierce Diode is verified, and his numerical results are refined. The evolution of this attractor is then followed as an external capacitance is introduced. 10 refs., 24 figs.
