Turbomachinery operating with coal particles or using pulverized coal as fuel are exposed to erosion. The problem of predicting erosion in rotating machinery is very complex. A review study of turbomachinery erosion research performed by the ''Australian Coal-Burning Gas Turbine Project'' has been completed.
