This conference was held May 19--23, 1997 in Orlando, Florida. The purpose of this conference was to provide a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of state-of-the-art information on environmental management. Topics of discussion include the following: academic centers for environmental excellence; environmental compliance update; international environmental issues; NEPA; new alternatives to traditional environmental management; new technologies in environmental management; public stakeholder involvement; risk analysis; small business issues; and sustainable development. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
