A corrosion inhibitor includes an amine salt of sulfurized tall oil fatty acids, or equivalents. The usual emulsion problems accompanying use of amine salts of ordinary tall oil fatty acids are overcome by sulfurizing these acids, using an excess of the sulfurized acids over the amount necessary to neutralize the amine and including as an extender or cosurfactant an ethoxylated polypropylene glycol. The inhibitor also should include a little water, to reduce hazing, and a low molecular-weight alcohol, to reduce the pour point of the composition, and a solvent to decrease the amine salt concentration.
