The U.S. Department of Energy - Geothermal Division (DOE/GD) recently sponsored the Low-Temperature Resource Assessment project to bring the inventory of the nation`s low-to-moderate temperature geothermal resources up to date, and to encourage development of the resources. An important part of the project was to complete a statewide collocation study of these geothermal resources with communities and other potential users. This information would be used to encourage those communities to develop their geothermal resources.
