Study of the energy and angular dependence of the spin-flip probability at inelastic scattering of protons on $sup 24$Mg (in Russian)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4939819

The energy and angular dependence of the spin-flip probability and that of the differential cross section of the inelastic proton scattering near the resonance energies of 2.41 and 4.02 MeV in the /sup 24/Mg(p,p' gamma )/sup 24/Mg reaction were measured. The angular distribution of the inelastic proton scattering in the resonance region of 2.41 MeV is isotropic in the c.m.s., which proves the main contribution of S wave in the entrance charnel. The spin-flip probability is also isotropic, of nonresonance character and equals (14 plus or minus 3)%. The spin-flip probability near the 4.02 MeV resonance is of nonresonance character and equals (35 plus or minus 4)%. (auth)
