Experimental problems in microthermogravimetry. Part I

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4939312
A description is given of the design, construction, and operation of an automatic recording microthermobalance system for temperatures up to 1000 deg C, at 1 mu g sensitivity (readability better than 0.5 mu g) in static air at one atmosphere pressure. The system was built incorporating a Sartorius model 4102 electric microbalance, but the design is such that it could be adapted to accommodate any other commercial electric microbalance. (auth)
