CAMAC-scaler-timer-system with computer controlled data evaluation (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4937732
CAMAC standardized modules, a real time clock, a binary-toBCD-converter, a timer and four scalers are assembled to a scaler-timer-system and coupled to the PDP 8/E-computer by a Single Crate Controller SCC-8/E. This system is a part of a measuring plant surveying the pins of the compact sodium cooled reactor KNK. An extensive computer program sifts the pulse rate values and selects only those data for print whose values are not in accordance with variable preset conditions of tolerance. Together with a preselectable gate time for scaling, the evaluation of the easy readable cycle record simplifies very much the process control and replaces the practice of analog drawing of the data used in the past. The report discusses in detail the data selection process and points out how to evaluate the record and how to dimension the control parameters of the cycle. (GE)
