Two-group calculation of the heterogeneous reactor by the quasi-albedo method

The method cailed the quasi-albedo method gives the FeinbergGalanin two- group equations in the form similar to the finitecifference one. As a result of this the computing time taken to iterative solution of these equations is reduced by 15 to 20 times compared to the conventional heterogeneous method. Two-group two-dimensional calculation of the assembly with the number of rods of about 1900 and the flux accuracy no lower than 1% requires less than 3 min on the BESM-6 computer. (auth)
