t-channel selection principles for electroproduction of pions (in German)

The relation between the polarization of the virtual photon in the electroproduction of single pions on nucleons and the normality (P(--)/sup j/) of the exchange contribution in the t-channel for high energies is proven and discussed. The relevance of this relation for the reaction gamma p yields pi /sup 0/p is pointed out. and it is shown that it is valid for E/sub gamma = 3 GeV in a Regge pole model with absorptive cuts. (auth)
