Solvent fires and explosions in glove boxes: investigation to determine minimum hazardous quantity

The report is in two parts: Part 1 reports on fire and explosion tests in glove boxes with a static atmosphere and on the attempts to determine a safe minimum quantity of solvert that can be introduced into a glove box. Part 2 describes similar tests in glove boxes with a purged atmosphere and examines the effect of solvent vapor dispersal on fire and explosion risks. (auth)
