From 17th annual meeting of the American Nuclear Society,; Boston, Massachusetts, USA (13 Jun 1971). Results of experiments on bundle pressure drop are presented and discussed. These are part of the research activities of the CNEN Plutonium Program in the field of bundle pressure drops. Measurements were performed in the Karmen loop at Studsvik It is well known that system pressure strongly influences twophase flow pressure drops. It is this influence which is investigated, obtaining data relating to the following coolant conditions: mass velocities between 1350 (1 x 10/sup 6/) and 2710 (2 x 10/sup 6/) kg/m/sup 2 /sec (lb/hrft/sup 2/); steam quality between 2 and 209; and pressure at 8, 15, 30 bars. The boiling water was in adiabatic-isothermal status. (auth)
