Zero-power experiment with the second core of the ''Otto Hahn'' (FDR II--0) (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4934974
The zero-power experiments with the 2nd core of the FDR are described: critical experiment, symmetry testing, calibration of the control rods, reactivity measurements (shutdown reactivity, stuck-rod, temperature coefficient, coupling, excess reactivity with boric acid poisoning and pulse measurements, control curves). importance and thermal flux measurements were done in a fuel element. Furthermore, partial core loads from FDR fuel elements were investigated. Reactivity measurements using the pulse method for reactivity values up to - are discussed. The measured reactivity values are compared with the diffusion calculations. (GE)
