The effects of finite drift orbit radial width and Larmor radius of fast particles on the stability of low-n TAE are studied. The formulation is based on the solution of gyro-kinetic equation. A quadratic form has been derived in terms of invariant variables: energy {epsilon}, magnetic momentum {mu}, and toroidal momentum P{sub {var_phi}} The growth rate is computed perturbatively. Numerical calculation is based on averaging over the fast particle drift orbit. The TAE structure is calculated using the NOVA code. The results are compared with previous calculations based on small radial width approximation.
