Recently, a breakdown of {open_quotes}conventional{close_quotes} factorization has been claimed in the cross section for the production of isolated prompt photons emitted in the final state of hadronic e{sup +}e{sup {minus}} annihilation. We criticize this claim. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
