The surface ionization properties of porous tungsten ionizers which have been sintered from powders with diameters of 0.1, 0.9, 5, 8, 12 to 18, and 44 to 74 microns and with densities from 60 to 80 percent were determined experimentally with a neutral atom and ion detector for through-fed cesium.
