This paper presents the results of a survey of the system planners across the United States, including investor owned, rural electric cooperative and municipal electric companies. The intent of the survey was to identify the three top technical problems facing the system planners. Results indicate the planners have a major concern for the uncertainties in the electric utility industry and the related technical problems.
