A DESCRIPTIVE TECHNIQUE FOR STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF CHRONIC IONIZING RADIATION ON A FOREST ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/4840592· OSTI ID:4840592
A representative Long lsland oak-pine forest was irradiated experimentally with chronic gamma radiation from a single, centrally located Cs/ sup 137/ source. A detailed plan is described for recordlng phytosociological information prior to and subsequent to initiation of the irradiation and for transcribing the data onto IBM punch cards. (C.H.)
