THE ION EXCHANGE AND OTHER PROPERTIES OF CERTAIN 12-MOLYBDOPHOSPHATES

Journal Article · · J. Inorg. & Nuclear Chem.
Potassium, rubidium, and cesium 12-molybdophosphates are all effective ion exchangers for the concentration of traces of cesium, strontium, and yttrium from neutral solution, but retain only cesium in 2 M nitric acid. None appears to have any advantage over ammonium 12-molybdophosphate in this connection. Methylammonium 12-molybdophosphates are poor exchangers for the cations studied. The molecular weights and solubilities of these 12-molybdophosphates were also determined. (auth)
