Styrene- methacrylic acid mixed in 1: 2 mole ratio was graft copolymerized on to 2- and 5-mil polypropylene films by Co/sup 60/ and electron accelerator irradiations. The grafting rates indicate that, except at the lowest Co/sup 60/ dose rate, the grafting reaction is mainly a surface reaction. (D.L.C.)
